SBK Hockey's R&D Partner, Hockey Robotics, Unveils Novel Hockey Stick Testing Robot at the University of Waterloo

Sherbrook SBK Sport Corp. is proud to be the exclusive hockey brand to support the prototyping phase of this development project, along with Hockey Robotics and the University of Waterloo.

An engineering team from the University of Waterloo, lead by well-renowned Professor John McPhee, is developing the first ever robotic replica of the human slap shot. Their newly founded company, Hockey Robotics, will be an independent testing and R&D firm dedicated to advancing hockey technology.

SBK Hockey is proud to announce the successful completion of the robotic prototype, named the SlapShot XT. The prototype, unveiled at the Mechatronics Engineering design symposium at the University of Waterloo on March 21st, can be viewed at www.hockeyrobotics.com.

SBK Hockey is ambitious about the potential of this technology, and will be the first to see their sticks put to the test, and to gain never before seen data on hockey stick reactions to impact, resistance to wear and tear, and failure characteristics. SBK's goal in this project is to improve the performance and durability of their hockey sticks.

Sherbrook SBK Sport Partners With Chicago Blackhawks Goalie Coach

Sherbrook SBK Sport Corp. announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Stephane Waite, the current Chicago Blackhawks Goalie coach.According to the agreement, SBK will be the official equipment supplier to 6 elite hockey schools namely in Germany, Czech Republic, 2 in the USA and 2 in Canada. Stephane and his brother Jimmy Waite have been instrumental in the development of the goalie equipment manufactured by SBK. Jimmy Waite was the number 1 round draft pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in 1987.

According to the company, SBK Germany, which is based in Fussen, currently deals directly with over 8 professional teams through SBK Germany's President, Omar Rona. Some of the teams in the Bundesliga and the Oberliga include the SERC Wild Wings, the Ravensburg Tower Stars and Adendorf EC to name a few.

Sherbrook SBK Sport Wins Over Germany's Ice Hockey Leagues

Sherbrook SBK Sport Corp. announced today that it has signed a 5 year agreement for the distribution to ice hockey leagues in Germany including but not limited to Bundesliga and Oberliga.According to the company, SBK Germany, which is based in Fussen, currently deals directly with over 8 professional teams through SBK Germany's President, Omar Rona. Sherbrook SBK Sport Sign Exclusive Agreement with Ochsner Hockey of Switzerland

Sherbrook SBK Sport Corp. announced today that it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Ochsner Hockey of Switzerland.According to the company, Ochsner Hokcey is the official supplier to the Swiss Ice Hockey National League, which includes cities like Zug, Lugano, Bern and Basel to name a few. Sherbrook SBK Sport Sign 4 Year Agreement With Sport Legion JSC.

Sherbrook SBK Sport Corp. announced today that it will be attending the International Sports Business Network Tradeshow held in Munich Germany on February 6 through February 11. According to the company, the International Sports ness Network Tradeshow or (ISPO) is the leading sports tradeshow in the world, which gathers the world's top manufacturers, distributors, designers and where new products and brands are unveiled. Sherbrooke SBK Hockey Co is pleased to announce a sponsorship agreement with “LES BOYS” for a TV series called “LES BOYS SAISON 4”.

The series is formed with 13 episodes, broadcast on Radio-Canada starting January 2011.
All players will wear SBK protective equipment and will be playing with SBK sticks.Please note that a previous agreement was signed in September 2009 between both parties to allow Sherbrook SBK Hockey Co. to produce hockey sticks with “The Boys” effigy, this was done in October 2009. Following this agreement SBK has also the exclusive rights to sell these sticks.

SBK Hockey is now the official supplier of NAHL
The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced that Sherbrook Hockey Company (SBK) has been named the Official Equipment Supplier of the NAHL. As part of the agreement, Sherbrook will serve as the exclusive provider of hockey sticks, pants and gloves to the NAHL. SBK has demonstrated a strong commitment to the NAHL and we couldn’t be happier to partner with such a reputable organization, said NAHL commissioner Mark Frankenfeld.
